Bush fire brigades are run by volunteers who dedicate their time to protecting the community 24/7.

Being part of the Chidlow Volunteer Bushfire Brigade provides opportunities to learn, as well as a real opportunity for members to develop leadership skills. At the same time we fulfil the need to protect the community from bush fires by working as a team at fire incidents and through fuel reduction burns during the prescribed burning season.

If you are thinking about joining the brigade then we encourage you to visit us at the station between 9.30am and 11am on Saturday mornings. Our station is located on the corner of Wilcox street and Old Northam road.

Members receive full DFES endorsed basic training and there are intermediate and advanced courses available for those who wish to advance in the Bush Fire Service.
