The Jane Brook Catchment Group is involved in raising awareness in all sectors of the community on the importance of protecting remnant vegetation, revegetating and rehabilitating bushland, restoring streams and creek lines, working in partnership with government, industry. It is an umbrella group for Friends groups along the Jane Brook Catchment.
There are 26 Friends groups at the moment, each of them have a few volunteers looking after their local bush reserves in the Jane Brook Catchment.
Activities include weeding, plant identification, flora and fauna surveys and planting of local species in degraded areas. We are always in need of volunteers, and if you enjoy being in the bush with friendly people and would like to help look after it, please think of joining us.
We are supported by the Shire of Mundaring and the East Metropolitan Regional Council.
General meetings are held outdoors in local bush reserves and project sites on a bi-monthly basis on a Sunday morning: 9am - walk with a 10am meeting.
