Yonglong's Family Day Care is an education and care service in Queens Park. We are in close proximity to a great range of public recreation areas and reserves and local primary schools. Our family day care caters for children from the ages of 0 to school age, this also includes before and after school children (primary schools that are close to the care). I began my career as a family day care educator on 5/1/2015 and have looked after many children of all ages, religions and countries. This provides our children with the opportunity to experience different languages, food, songs and customs from these cultures. I myself, am Chinese. I come from a Chinese background and I speak Mandarin. At care, I speak Mandarin and English to the children as I believed that Mandarin is a great second language for children to learn. As an educator, I create best learning environments for children and also cater for healthy and delicious food (A balanced meal to meet children's dynamic growth needs) Inside is thoughtfully designed with sensory and play based learning opportunities. I am passionate to teach children new things every day. There are a variety of activities that we all love to do, such as art (painting, drawing, colouring); experiments with science, cooking, dancing, singing and playing with the many, many learning resources we have. We do group activities everyday which assists the children grow together in a friendly and welcoming environment. Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children's awareness of their surrounding and the greater environment. There is a beautiful playground with swings suitable for all ages. As a small group, I often take the children out to the nearby parks for excursions. We have a passion for nature and love learning about what types of flowers there are, and what types of birds there are in the tree.
