The Shire is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces for everyone in our community. As part of this commitment, significant upgrades have recently been completed at Parkerville Hall and Glen Forrest Hall.
Both facilities now feature new wheelchair access ramps and upgraded universal access toilets, ensuring improved convenience for all visitors. Additionally, wheelchair lifts have been installed to provide safe and seamless access to the stage areas, making these venues better equipped to support a diverse range of events and activities.
Looking ahead, both halls will also benefit from future improvements to the car parking area. These changes will enhance safety, improve security and ensure the facility remains welcoming and accessible to all.
These projects form part of the Shire’s ongoing efforts to provide fit-for-purpose, inclusive community buildings and public facilities that meet the needs of residents and visitors alike.
Further information about priority projects can found in our Council Plan 2024 to 2034.
