Vendors: We anticipate a diverse range of stallholders offering fresh, local produce, baked goods, honey, jams, handcrafted items, and more. Grand Opening: The Shire President Paige McNeil will officially open the market on the 14th of December, with live entertainment, including a local performer and carols. (The community requested a market before Christmas) Entertainment: Live music performances will be a regular feature of the market, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Community Engagement: The market has been widely publicised through the Darlington Hub Facebook page, local community groups, and neighbouring businesses, ensuring strong community participation. Experience: The market organiser brings valuable experience from successfully managing the Chidlow Farmers Market. Layout: Stalls will be arranged inside the hall, on the stage and around the balcony. Depending on numbers some gazebos may be erected on the grassy section directly in front of the Hall. No pegs will be used to ensure reticulation is not compromised. Sustainability: We will actively promote sustainable practices by encouraging vendors to use eco-friendly packaging and providing recycling and extra bins. Safety and Security: The market organiser is a first aider. Also, the Darlington Fire brigade has been invited to have a stand to allow for the presence of first aiders. Excess Parking: The local schools have offered to allow us to use their parking space if necessary to avoid congestion and ease interruption of traffic flow. There will be Shire approved food vendors supporting this event also.
