The Shire of Mundaring manages the Perth Hills Mundaring Visitor Centre, which plays a key role in promoting tourism and businesses within the Hills region.
One third of the Shire is classified as State Forest with a bountiful selection of trails to enjoy including six of the State's Top Trails. The Railway Reserves Heritage Trail stretches 59kms through the shire linking the charming villages alongside the old railway line. There are spectacular seasonal wildflower displays along the trails and Flora Roads as well as the many nature reserves.
