As part of the Shire’s 2021/2022 Annual Resurfacing Program, the section of Thomas Street from the intersection of Reservoir Road to Rosedale Road and the entire length of Pennel Road will be upgraded.

Shire of Mundaring has received a $108,000 grant from the State Government Metropolitan Regional Road Group towards the cost of the improvement works to Thomas Street.

Works are anticipated to commence on Monday 23 May.

 These works will consist of the following:

1. Stormwater infrastructure to be installed and upgraded;
2. Road surface to be reconstructed and resealed with asphalt;
3. New kerbing will be installed;
4. Bus Stop hard stand areas to be concreted.

Crossovers and verge areas impacted by these works will be adjusted as required to accommodate new levels and access points.

Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works and all reasonable care will be taken to minimise inconvenience to residents and the general public during construction works.  Weather conditions permitting, every effort will be taken to keep to schedule. However, there are occasionally times when rescheduling is required due to unforeseen circumstances.
