Birds of Broz Park and Beyond with Rachel and Mike Green

Monday 10th February 2025

The lake at Broz Park in Helena Valley looks like any ordinary park lake with a few birds and ducks to be seen, and not much else.

Rachel and Mike Green will help you discover a completely different story, with evidence that it could be, on a bird per hectare basis, the number one bird hotspot in the Mundaring shire! Join us and discover the diversity of birds that can be found at Broz Park, from the common to the rare, and learn practical tips on how to identify them.

Rachel and Mike, local bird boffins, conducted a bird survey at Broz Park, visiting it over 70 times in a 27-month period with binoculars and camera at the ready. The research has resulted in the book, The Birds of Broz Park, due for release later this year. Rachel and Mike will inspire you with their high energy and practical knowledge in this beautifully illustrated talk.

Bookings are essential via Eventbrite. Light refreshments will be available. We suggest you bring your own keep-cup or mug for tea, coffee or water.

Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
