Seedlings for Landcare EOI's open Friday 11 August

Expressions of Interest for the Shire of Mundaring's Seedlings for Landcare Program open on Friday 11 August 2023. The Shire is calling for schools, community groups and rural landowners to register their interest in the program.
 
Seedlings for Landcare assists the community to undertake environmental restoration including revegetating creeklines, providing habitat for wildlife and increasing tree canopy cover in rural areas.
 
Approximately 24,000 seedlings will be available through the program.
This consists of 57 local native species including trees, shrubs, ground covers, herbs and rushes. The seedlings will provide a boost for important local restoration projects that have long-term benefits for the environment.
 
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:
 
• A resident or ratepayer undertaking revegetation on a rural zoned property greater than 4000 sqm
• A Catchment Group, Friends Group, school or other organisation undertaking revegetation on a nature reserve or school grounds within the shire
 
Visit the Seedlings for Landcare page for more information and an online Expression of Interest form. Hardcopy forms will also be available at the Shire’s libraries and Administration building.
 
Expressions of Interest close at 4pm on Friday 22 September 2023. Seedlings will be available for collection in May 2024.
