The Bilgoman Aquatic Centre is set to reopen following a series of significant upgrades which commenced in April 2024.
The Centre will open its doors to the public at 7am on Saturday 2 November 2024. Prior to opening to the public, the facility will host school swim programs from Monday 21 October 2024.
The staged reopening ensures that the Centre can still support the Department of Education’s Term 4 swimming lessons as the project nears completion, with the newly refurbished universal access toilets and essential amenities finalised.
Completion of the remaining upgrades including refurbishments to the centre’s administration areas, first aid room, entry area, kiosk, storerooms will make the facility ready for public access two weeks later.
Shire of Mundaring CEO Jason Whiteaker advised that the project is expected to be completed by 30 October, allowing the Centre to be fully operational starting Saturday 2 November.
“We appreciate the community’s patience as we complete these essential upgrades and look forward to welcoming everyone back for an improved aquatic experience,” he said.
